OBJECTIVES of the Brookhaven Town Fire Police Association
-
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the State of New York
-
To speak, act and work for the mutual benefit and protection of its members
-
To advance the status of the Brookhaven Town Fire Police in New York State by holding meetings for the presentation and discussion of problems affecting the volunteer fire police
-
Publishing papers, reports, sharing knowledge, and experience of value to volunteer fire police
-
Developing and publishing standards, rules and recommended practices to be followed by volunteer fire police throughout Brookhaven
-
Encouraging the mutual exchange of information
-
Cooperating with government agencies in fire police matters
-
Cooperating with all other firefighter associations
-
And advocating more effective legislative safeguard for volunteer fire police
BHTFPA recognize, thank and salute the woman in Law Enforcement, especially our fellow Fire Police Officers
