THE BROOKHAVEN TOWN FIRE POLICE ASSOCIATION IS LOOKING FORWARD TO A PRODUCTIVE YEAR OF MEETINGS, TRAININGS, CAMARADERIE AND SAFETY.    

FUTURE MEETINGS WILL BE TENTATIVELY HELD BI-MONTHLY UNITL FURTHER NOTICE.

May is motorcycle awareness month.
 
Long Island  Abate is asking all fire departments to post up on their billboards a motorcycle safety awareness message:

 

“Look twice save a life”, “watch out for motorcycles”, or “left turns are dangerous for motorcycles”.

OBJECTIVES of the Brookhaven Town Fire Police Association
  • To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the State of New York

  • To speak, act and work for the mutual benefit and protection of its members

  • To advance the status of the Brookhaven Town Fire Police in New York State by holding meetings for the presentation and discussion of problems affecting the volunteer fire police

  • Publishing papers, reports, sharing knowledge, and experience of value to volunteer fire police

  • Developing and publishing standards, rules and recommended practices to be followed by volunteer fire police throughout Brookhaven

  • Encouraging the mutual exchange of information

  • Cooperating with government agencies in fire police matters

  • Cooperating with all other firefighter associations

  • And advocating more effective legislative safeguard for volunteer fire police
